Sources and Fact Verification

Every numeric claim, regulatory statement, and platform feature on this site comes from one of three sources: official platform disclosures published by Mintos or the comparison platform in question, our internal platform data registry (a structured fact table maintained by the editorial team), or publicly available information from the relevant financial regulator. The date of record for each page appears at the top or bottom of the content. We do not invent statistics, fabricate portfolio performance, or extrapolate unavailable data.

When a platform states a target return range (e.g. 9-11% for Mintos), we repeat that range and note it is a target, not a guarantee. When a regulator publishes a licence type (e.g. MiFID II for Mintos, issued by Latvijas Banka), we cite the regulator by name and the licence category. If information is not publicly available or not disclosed by the platform, we state that explicitly rather than filling the gap with assumptions.

What We Do Not Do

This site does not claim to invest our own money in the platforms we review. We do not publish named staff portfolios, staff testimonials, or personal anecdotes framed as evidence. We do not use fabricated customer quotes, invented investor profiles, or composite characters. Every pro and con reflects publicly verifiable facts or widely reported user experience documented in platform forums and news sources, not private correspondence or unnamed sources.

We do not assign numeric scores, percentage ratings, letter grades, or star systems to platforms. The only verdict tool on this site is the Trust Signal Checklist used for Mintos, which marks seven named criteria (EU regulator, compensation scheme, secondary market, buyback, track record, risk disclosure, investor base) as Yes, No, or Partial, with an overall verdict of Strong, Mixed, or Weak. Comparison platforms receive descriptive analysis only, never a fabricated ranking or index.

Platform Data Registry

The internal registry tracks headquarters location, founding year, regulator and licence type, loan categories, buyback policy, secondary market availability, minimum investment, and target return range for Mintos and ten comparison platforms (EstateGuru, PeerBerry, Twino, Nectaro, Capitalia, Lendermarket, Robocash, Crowdpear, Debitum, Maclear). This registry is the single source of truth for all numeric and categorical facts on the site. Updates to the registry trigger a review of affected pages, and the revision date on each page reflects the most recent data verification pass.

Affiliate Relationships and Independence

As of this publication date, mintos-reviews.com has no paid affiliate partnership with Mintos. The primary Mintos call-to-action is a plain, unpaid link. A separate, clearly labelled Sponsored block may appear on some pages promoting Maclear or 8lends, unrelated platforms that do pay this site a commission. The presence of a sponsored placement does not alter any statement made about Mintos, and sponsored platforms are never presented as superior to Mintos without evidence-based justification independent of the commercial relationship.

All affiliate links carry the rel="noopener nofollow noindex" attribute and link to a placeholder href for technical reasons. Editorial coverage of any platform, sponsored or not, follows the same fact-verification process described above.

Corrections Process

If you identify a factual error (incorrect regulator name, wrong founding year, misrepresented licence type, outdated return range), email the details to the contact address listed on the contact page. Include the page URL, the incorrect statement, and a link to the authoritative source showing the correct information. The editorial team reviews all submissions within five business days. Verified errors are corrected on the live page, and a note is added to the page footer or a dedicated corrections log if the error materially affected the page's conclusion. Risk Disclaimer Requirement

Every page on this site that discusses investing, returns, or platform features includes a capital-at-risk statement. This site is not a bank, investment platform, or financial adviser, and it does not hold client money or offer personal investment recommendations. P2P lending, including Mintos, carries a risk of partial or total loss of invested capital.
